The Confidante Miami Beach showcases Art Basel

The Confidante Miami Beach, a playful oceanfront oasis located in Miami Beach’s popular Mid-Beach neighborhood, is pleased to announce its 2019 Art Basel programming featuring a partnership with renowned Miami artist David Le Batard (Lebo). Guests can expect a lineup of art-centric events, a custom postcard mailing station, art-inspired cocktails and new artwork throughout the hotel, including two exclusive outdoor murals by Lebo and his hand-selected group of up-and-coming local artists – photographers Gavin Macgenzie and Tanya Manfrediz and visual artists King Redd, Carlos Solano and Ramon Mas.

As a native to Miami Beach, Lebo brings the vibrancy and culture of the magic city to life through the two exclusive murals at The Confidante Miami Beach. Both vibrant works of art on display on the first and 10th floor are a collaboration between Lebo and fellow muralists King Redd, Carlos Solano and Ramon Mas. Each artist brings their own touch to the murals from Carlos’s positive messaging to King Redd’s tattoo artistry background and Ramon’s juxtaposition of Comic, Street and Hip Hop Cultures throughout his
artwork.

The local art-infused hotel is committed to elevating and showcasing the Miami art scene through their “Art of the Cocktail” series. This program is hosted throughout the year and features a rotating art exhibition in The Confidante’s lobby that includes a kickoff party with live entertainment from local musicians, specialty cocktails inspired by the showcased artist and light bites provided by on-site eatery, Bird & Bone. The artist’s artwork is on display for a period of two months throughout the lobby and towards the guest elevators. Past Miami artists included Atomik, Ivan Roque, Luis Valle, Courtney Einhorn, Ernesto Kunde and many more. Lebo and his artists will be featured in the Miami Art Week edition of the program.

The Confidante and Lebo presented two on-property activations. The first was a special edition of “Art of the Cocktail” on Tuesday, December 3rd. The evening took place place on the 10th floor and featured a Q&A with Lebo, Gavin Mcgenzie, Tanya Manfrediz, King Redd, Carlos Solano and Ramon Mas along with signature cocktails by Tequila Avión and a variety of Lebo’s South Beach Brewing craft beers. As Creative Director of South Beach Brewing, Lebo’s famous artwork is showcased from the logo, top taps, labels and cans. A variety of pop-up activations by each of the artists — including a personalized polaroid photo booth station, customized canvas totes and an interactive painting experience — went on throughout the evening. The Soul Sipper and Las Vivres Tequila Avión signature cocktails and South Beach Brewing beers were available at the Bird & Bone Lobby Bar throughout the week of Art Basel. On Saturday, December 7th The Confidante hosted an exclusive Lebo x Sweat440 40-minute dynamic workout class on the 10th floor for those looking to sneak in a workout, followed by refreshing libations by Miami Cocktail Co.
